Reverse C
The first C in the mintmark is high and a little left (away from arrow), second C much closer to the leaf than the arrow.

There is also a vertical die line on the lower left of E in CENTS. Later, die cracks form below the left and middle groups of olive leaves below the eagle (see photo below).e.

Comments: This is the second and final use of this obverse die. This is the only use of this reverse die in 1875. This reverse die was re-used in 1876 to strike the legendary 1876-CC coins. |
